Hi, it's Brenda, your woman on the ground in Westcliffe,
Colorado.
I often get calls and questions about Westcliffe,
Silver Cliff, Custer County and the surrounding areas.
So, I've decided to put together a few pages to
answer the most asked questions. Questions such as:
|
 |
Nearer the
warmer climate of New Mexico, the climate is
ideal, cool clear and dry in the winter, warm in
the summer and sunny all year round. Fall is
most beautiful of all with the spun-gold aspens
and the first snow crowning the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains.
The area is semi-arid to arid with a low humidity and little
precipitation. With 345 days of sunshine each
year and with the low humidity, even the winter
weather is pleasant most of the time in spite of
the altitude. Cool, clear and dry in winter,
warm in summer and sunny all year 'round. Annual
precipitation averages 16".
